Fresh Specials…

‘One of the things we most enjoy at El Cantara is seeing our chefs create new and different ‘specials’ that complement our core menu. We have had a Tapas Burger flavoured with Spanish Piementon topped with Manchego cheese, Seafood salad with micro herbs on toasted bread and a new twist on a traditional spanish favourite, Bacalao. Adding to all this creativity we’ve signed off our Christmas menu and we really did get to taste some incredible food. Our Christmas menu really does make the mouth water, Lobster & Crab Paella, Pulled Turkey cooked in Pedro Ximenez on olive bread with a Pomegranate and Cranberry jam not to mention whole Pumpkin filled with a vegetarian cous cous. One twist thats going to be fun is our Orange Blossom & Honey Syrup Sponge Hearts that wait on the table for you in their own locked box, unlocked at the end of the meal.

This year we have been focusing on getting our lovely food and drinks out and about by appearing at festivals. We recently did Lovebox which was our first music festival and quite a learning curve! Our ‘patch’ was just that, a patch of grass, so getting everything set up was like one of those management days out! At least with this task there was a final end result, some of the days I have seen are designed to keep you trying to build something without ever getting to the end! Sunday was one of the hottest days of the year so the team did get a bit of sun time and a chance to relax while serving food. Our next festival is the Great British Beer Festival at Olympia 13 – 17 August where we will be looking forward to showcasing our Alhambra beers from Spain to as many of the 55,000 people expected to visit, we hope to see you there!’
