Summer, Sun and Soho
Finally summer arrived, and in Soho that really brightens up the atmosphere! People smile, relax in the sun and the whole look and feel of the area changes. Nowhere was this more evident than on the Saturday of London Pride, we had sofa’s outside and really, I don’t think you could get a better seat to sit and watch the world go by, magic!
We’ve been busy taking on new challenges! We will be serving food at the Lovebox festival this year, come and see us and let us know what you think of our intrepid team working from very different surroundings to what they are used to. For those of you who know our new assistant manager Lina, she will be at the festival so again, stop by and say hello.
After bringing new ideas to our food menu earlier in spring (daily specials with our Tapas and Spanish/Moroccan main courses) we are turning our attention to our drinks menu. So its wine tasting for me soon……….somebody has to do it! One thing we wanted to start as soon as possible is our premium draught lager. We are proud to be serving Alhambra Premium lager, one of the first restaurants in London to do so. This lager comes from an independent brewery and is an easy drinking blond larger with herbal and lemon characteristics, just made for summer in the city.
Recently we went all posh (ish!!) We spent a sunny afternoon serving up our new menu addition, Moroccan Afternoon Tea, it was a big hit! Our chefs made fresh bread for the mini sandwiches, and created beautiful sweet treats to follow, some gluten free so nobody missed out. More than a few ladies sipped Champagne before their tea arrived, very elegant. If you are shopping in the West End this is a fantastic way to unwind after carrying around all those heavy bags, and don’t forget we have our outside terrace too, it’s quite a suntrap.
I hope you all get out and get as much sun as you can on your face, you never know how long it’s going to last, make the most of it!
